Our Story
Hey! Im Kelsey, I started Mom Strong just a few months after having my first daughter in Grand Rapids Michigan. I'll never forget the first night home with our daughter, Isa, which was filled with so much love and joy. The newborn stage is blissful yet challenging, immersed in feedings, diaper changes, sleepless nights and my body healing from delivery. My emotions were all over the place from crying tears of joy to tears of frustration because the moment a baby is born so is a mother. We are both learning and growing together.
A pandemic pregnancy came with many challenges and I found myself feeling alone and isolated. This feeling continued on into postpartum and grew into postpartum depression, anxiety and rage. I met my breaking post four months pp while I was crying because my fussy baby hadn't napped all day and was having trouble latching. So the next day I found a Perinatal Therapist and beginning my journey of building my inner mama strength. Everyday since in moments of weakness I have repeated in my head "I am Strong. I am Confident. I am Worthy."
That is how Mom Strong came to be.
Our Mission
There needs to be a brand out there for all mamas who are struggling to find their MOMfidence. This is #MomStrong
Too many mamas suffer in silence. Worried about the judgement of others, "am I doing this right," mom guilt, body image, and extreme lack of personal care time.
Our mission is bring together a community of mamas who are not afraid to be 100% truly authentic selves. To empower mamas everywhere that under the messy bun, bags under tear crusted eyes, and stretchy pants that you are strong mentally and physically. Our Motherhood Mantra is
Motherhood is Hard AF but I am not alone. I trust & believe in my instincts. I am Strong. I am Worthy. I am Confident.
